I love having a rug in my dining room! It softens the space, and makes it so you don’t scratch the floor when you scoot in and out! This space turned out great!!

This was all so clever and really works. I couldn't believe what a good job the rug did of making the mismatched tile so unimportant. The only thing I would still do is splice in white wall trim where it's missing. Such a fun airbnb this is turning into!

cute project, the mural is lovely, an idea for future to toss out, need area rug for a client who really don't want the hassle of rug cleaning or has allergies, get a dirt cheap piece of canvas, look for price not pattern because you don't need the top. Turn it over, paint your hearts desire at the given moment on there, seal it, add a binding/ fringe to give finished look, There you have a unique , custom rug/mat that especially in a food area is super easy to maintain.

I don’t bother removing the old fabric unless it is super gross or something. I figure it is just more protection and the batting has already been smoothed by the old fabric. Love the cowhide with the rattan. Very cool!❤😊

Don’t worry!!!! We are gonna resolve that and get paintable switch covers. Clearly, late-night painting melts your brain. Could definitely have done peel-and-stick tiles but just working with the budget for now, and there was…so much brown tile 😂
