Exactly the reason I left the mishaps in the video, I rarely saw people struggling with a (stick) welder. I read a bit and gave it a go, so mistakes were kind of expected, but not to the frustrating extent I endured during the build. Nonetheless, I have gotten better over time and I am looking forward to the next welding related projects.

Nice one, mate. I sort of taught myself to stick weld. I wonder if we could go into business together, teaching how not to weld! Good work anyway.

Good Job, more importantly you didn't give up. Learning something is the most important part of any build. look into a mig welder, it the easiest way to learn and fairly versatile. I prefer Tig welding myself.

Thanks for the comment. I will definitely upgrade to a different type of welder sometime in the distant future. Once I don't suck at welding so bad anymore :-).
