These would be great for guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, hamsters, mice, etc. Just make sure that you make them much smaller for smaller animals!

Rats can't eat hay, so unfortunately these aren't suitable for them. They usually know not to eat it, but baked into something like this with sweet fruit and honey, they don't realise there's something inedible in there. They can't digest hay at all, so it just sits in their digestive tract and can easily cause and intestinal blockage.

I make cookies for my dog.. I use rice, peanut butter, bananas, and if I have an extra apple, I'll grate it up and add it, 2 eggs, mix, put it on a cookie sheet and bake at 425° for about 25 minutes. Once cooled, cut into pieces, place in an airtight container and freeze. My guy likes his frozen(it's a lab thing🤷‍♀️). Small amounts can last in an air tight container on the counter for a few days.

Hey! Im a pet nutritionist and my favorite treat to give my dog is I get an ice cube mold and put coconut oil in the bottom and freeze. Then a layer of natural peanut butter and freeze again. Then goats milk as the top layer. (I know it sounds weird, but it is so good for your dogs digestive tract)

This may be common knowledge, but maybe once every week or 2 I mix baby food and give to my cresties, they all love it. I usually use just a little turkey and more banana. What I read was 1 part turkey or chicken baby food to 4-6 parts fruit baby food, and I always use stage 1 food so no lumps. This is in no way a substitute for food, just a treat.

I wish I could feed my rabbit these. I have a holland lop he is one of the most precious things in my life. 6 months ago he got very sick and stayed very sick for about 4 months. He was on 7 meds every 3 hours. Even through the night. Now he is on a very strict diet but doing so well... he even gained all of the weight he lost back and then some. But the treats looked so cute and your rabbits are even cuter! I’m sorry to hear about the one you lost. It is always hard losing a fur baby. I don’t think that ever gets easy but it is always great to give them an amazing life. If you have any ideas for hamsters I would love to try to make something for mine.

Hi Kristen i love your videos! Just one tip, i work at a bunny rescue for a living (vet tech) and i would not recommend feeding as many carrots! They’re very high in sugar, just one of the little chunks per bun is enough for a whole day! That many sweets can cause loads of heart problems and even stasis 🥰

In poland and (also i do this for my bunn) we do something like a bunny cookies. Shredered linseed with water, mixed with banana and dry herbs then its baked. its a bit crunchy but bunnies are crazy about them :D

First of all I appreciate the content and all your hard work, BUT please research before making those treats and sharing it to other people as they can feed those to their rabbits, rats, hamsters and guinea pigs and cause them damage. As an influencer and content creator you should be careful. Again, no hate, I appreciate your hard work on creating videos for people to watch, but it's an important part that I had to point out. Examples: Rats cannot digest hay, which can cause blockage in their digestive system that could kill them almost instantly. Rabbits cannot eat honey as it is very high in sugar and low in fiber, they cannot handle foods with high levels of sugar.

Louise Sharpy No one is saying she doesn’t know what to do. Many people are just stating the things in these that are NOT good for rats. Rats cannot digest hay and male rats aren’t supposed to have mango. So saying that these are okay for rats is spreading false information and potentially putting rats in danger. We all know that she loves her animals and takes amazing care of them, everyone forgets things or she just might not of known that rats can’t have these which is perfectly fine but it’s also perfectly fine to say in the comments any errors that she’s made so that people hopefully don’t make these for their rats without switching a few ingredients!!

No small animals should have honey much at all - just like kids shouldn't eat candy, but I believe that everything in moderation is OK as long as it isn't ABUSED. Honey is pure sugar, but, 1 tsp went into about 20 servings (bc you would make these way smaller for a guinea pig) and only feed maybe 1 per day. So yes you're right, guinea pigs shouldn't be fed honey, but I don't believe there's anything wrong with them having a couple drops here in there in a treat.

I would not recommend, chinchillas cannot have fruit or veggies. You can however use a mix of their pellets, hay, and critical care to make treats!

Hi there! I'm only here to make a suggestion for the rabbit treats :> To anyone, please AVOID honey! Rabbits cannot digest honey and can unbalance the bacteria in their digestive track. Kristen was amazing to link the House Rabbit Society website, please refer to that if you plan on making treats for your rabbits, or even just general safe fruits and veggies for them. A safe (and simple) rabbit treat you can make is grind 1/2 a cup of Oxbow timothy oat pellets and mush a whole banana into it, thus creating a "dough". Shape and bake this off in the oven between 300º to 350º (varies on the oven). These are completely safe for your bun to eat.

I loove your animal channel so much. I don’t wanna be rude or something, I’m a guineapig mum And I strongly suggest not giving cooked treats to your guineapigs. I don’t know much about the rest of the animals, but eventhough it’s not the worst thing in the world to give them this cooked cookies, a better treat would be pea flakes or just fruit. They should eat only fresh food, not cooked, because than the food looses all it’s properties. I know you find lots of stuff in petstores with honey and dried fruits, but that it’s just too much sugar in it. I appreciate your thought for us to treat our animals and bond with them in this time, but for exemple the parsley or a small piece of that banana would have been already a delicious snack for guinea pigs.
