Cute, "knit-like" circle scarf for the colder season :) Only takes a day to make!
at least over 250-300 m of yarn. The ball of yarn I bought was enough!

Being a guy who has never known how this process went, I sat here throughout all 10 minutes just saying "whoooaaaaa" every time you showed a new technique. I'm mesmerized O_o

I used this pattern to crochet a scarf for a coworker. It came out really lovely and I got it done in 3 days, because I only did a few rows a day in between working on the blanket I'm knitting at the moment. As a knitter I really like how this gives the product a knitted look but with the speed of crocheting. I will deff be using this to make scarves for christmas presents since it is so much quicker than when I try knitting scarves.

After watching this video I became so interested in crocheting. I've knit a scarf for each family member now lol. I finally know what to get for friends on Christmas this year :) thank you Helen

I'm impressed. I didn't know it was possible to get such a nice knit imitation with crochet. Also, I like that you work slowly enough to make it easy to follow along, and you show your work very close up. Very good tutorial :)

Good tutorial I never tried this stitch before You make it look easy. I like the way you call the crochet hook a stick. I also like it that you're so young and you can crochet.Wow great job. Looking forward to more tutorials.

Darlene Lepe Personally, I prefer the proper crochet terms to be used, i.e., it's a hook and not a stick.

SpaceOfSoul23 By working your half double crochet into the loop below the hole where you normally would work your stitch, that is what creates the ribbing effect. Just keep working your half double crochet stitches into the loop below the hole and the ribbing will form on its own as you go.

Love the scarf! I also love the blue bow earwarmer you made and showed in one of your videos. I've been looking for a tutorial on how to make one as cute as the one you made, but haven't found one- would be super cool if you made a tutorial for the earwarmer... :)

Thanks :) I'm making this right now and it's super easy! But I find that as I go along, it comes out shorter than I want - I'm doing 260 chains right now for length, but it barely goes around my neck twice :( Maybe I'll try it with 350 chains for the length - I like my scarves a bit long, and long enough to go around my neck at least 3 times...I like this pattern - it's quite versatile :)

egarciamj What yarn did you use? I've noticed Red Heart Super Saver yarn, especially in dark colors, can be rather rough and scratchy. I've used Red Heart With Love yarn, and that is a lot softer. I've also used Caron SimplySoft and that's also nice yarn to work with.

Hi, I just wanted to say that you sound so cute and i like your background music. But I did wanted to comment on the fact that when you explained how to double crochet it was different from what I've watched elsewhere. Just thought I'd put it out there! Thanks for your not-so-complicated tutorial!

This was sooooo much easier than another tutorial I tried!! Thank you so much!! I only have one question, do you do anything to soften the scarf after? I feel it's a bit scratchy, I tried something and it came out just a tad bit softer and drapey. I just wanted to know if there's a better way?

Great tutorial - this one seems the easiest compared to other tutorials for a "ribbed" infinity scarf! When you're doing the second (or first?) row (after you do your initial chain), are you skipping stitches/holes? Or going into every single one? It's a bit hard to see :S Thanks!

Also, I'm confused as to which "tutorial" to follow (blue yarn/red yarn). Is the red yarn tutorial the "correct" one? The 200 chains you make are for the LENGTH, right? Then you crochet the rows going lengthwise? I'm getting this confused with another tutorial, where she crocheted width-wise :S

Hello! I was wondering after you do the first row which is half double crochet for the second row you do part C, but then do you continue only doing part C for rest of the rows or do you alternate half double crochet and part C?
