Honestly I would just leave it stock. Looks like an alien or ET. I would do this to maybe a Honda but not 4runner. The 3rd Gen is already as clean as it get. There's more people moving back to original stock look than retro. Spend your money on other upgrades where it counts. That's just my opinion.

They definitely do look different, but I has grown on me. You're right, the stock ones give a really clean and fresh look. All I know is that the stock light output should be illegal it's so dim, these are much better

@@mattuccibuilt3970 I put LED lights in place of halogens and it's night and day. Try it. It brings a more modern look. No need for retro lights. Looks way better too!

@@genxiong2695 To my understanding, LED's in place of halogens is illegal, I could definitely be wrong. But overall these lights perform great and look good so I don't plan on changing them.

Thanks! From my quick research it seems like there is possibly a little box right next to your battery and you can just disconnect a connector. Do a search for "2000 4runner drl disable" and there are some forums that should help.

The projectors themselves are doing great, but not so much for the LEDS, I should have bought some higher quality ones, the blue signal for 3 of the LEDS in the driver-side halo have gone out. I bet if I epoxied them as well, we would be just fine!

@@mattuccibuilt3970 One of the things I learned on my retrofit lights, LED's fail. heat dissipation issues with most installs is common. Halo's are toast and now I'm just rocking the projectors and don't care. The light output compare to em is a game changer here in the PNW
