Hi Lisa: I wish the same. I have a great "farm" even though they're more nursery and I'm lucky their only 15 minutes away. But this just makes me wish that I had a bigger yard. I love attracting pollinators, birds, and butterflies into my space.

Me too @lynn Reynolds. I have a 1/4 acre lot on a slope here in hot smoky sacramento, but it’s packed with plants! Just ordered a catalog from the nursery kelly uses and can’t wait to try a few dahlias. My hydrangeas are epic if I may brag lol

Hi Kelly; Love your arrangement. I have a burning bush and never thought to make cuttings for an arrangement. Where is the best place to cut a branch? Do I go with the top branches or lower branches?

Hi Lynn , thank you for your kind comment . i tried finding branches that i wanted to cut out anyway to shape my plant a bit . I either chose branches that were getting too large and needed to be cut back or i cut from places where they would not be missed as you look at the plant . i did not cut too many branches since I did not want to actually prune it .

Hi Pharmgirl, I'm not sure of the exact names of these dahlias . So sorry . One of my new garden goals is to label my flowers better so I know the exact varieties when people ask .

The large pink one looks like one I planted this year - Lilac Time. It only just bloomed about a week ago. I'm in eastern Mass.

Are burning bushes invasive??? Agra- wool is the sustainable alternative for regular oasis... (Don't forget Dahlias are like fireworks, brilliant and dazzling but short- lived.....)
