For those folks that are looking a simple and quick way to convert from metric, get a measuring tape with metric on one side and standard (USA) measurements on the reverse side.

I like to put a piece of stiff cardboard or plastic canvas in the bottom to keep the bottom flat. Nice job and beautiful tote bag!

Just finished the bag. Pleased with it. Be careful when using google to convert cm to inch as my lining was out so had to trim that down a good bit. Will be making more for gifts. Thank you.

Google can convert mm to inches.

Google will answer your question, plus, if you turn over your tape measure, it is easy to follow along.

Sewing tape measures have both cm and inches . As do most rulers ..

A simple way to turn measurements to inches is to measure in centimetres, keep your fingers on the numbers you measured and turn the tape measure to show the inches and voila you have the measurements in inches
