@@TheMintedMaiden Thanks. I look forward to the content, I saved a couple vids to my watchlist that peeked my interest right away. I've been meaning to start gardening, either indoor or outdoor for a while. It has become more of a priority since John and Pinball keep talking about it. Your knowledge will be most useful.

Awesome! Be sure and let me know how it turns out. We have really loved the simplicity of solar model.

I like the small portion sizing as well. Much more practical. Can you wash and reuse to bags? (could be useful if resources are low at some stage.) I'm in Australia, I will often slice up items, put them on oven trays in the car under a linen or cotton tea towel. Unwind the windows a little and dry summer abundance that way.

I think these bags could be re usable but it all depends on what type of sealer you have and if there’s enough room to fit the bag under the sealer after it’s been cut. This is not my favorite storage method as I prefer more eco friendly options. But we do have to make a balance here with the amount of space we have we don’t have room for tons of jars. I have heard of using a car, that is such a fantastic idea! I bet it works really well!!

Did you make your own shelves that are behind you holding your jars? If so did you is wire?
@TheMintedMaiden
@TheMintedMaiden 3 жыл бұрын
The one behind me is an old bookshelf (I didn’t make it) and I put string across the front to keep jars from sliding off. The shelves next to me I made out of just some 2x4 scraps

After you've opened the package, how long do the tomatoes last?
@TheMintedMaiden

Great question! Ours have never made it past a day once we open it, so I can’t give an answer from personal experience, but I would guess at least a week like most other non-refrigerated foods.
