Rosa.. excellent tutorial. I have never made a skirt like this, or put pockets in anything before. When you began sewing the second pocket piece i was a little confussed, until you sewed the front and back skirt pieces together and then i had a EUREKA moment... genius!!!! xxxx

Haha it's a little like origami isn't it! I find video is the best way to learn new techniques. I love those eureka moments!

This is such a great tutorial! I'm actually making a standard Erin this weekend for the first time & after I've got my confidence with the pattern I definitely want to try your pinafore version. I don’t really suit a fitted skirt but i’ll definitely be trying this with a pleated or gathered midi length skirt. Can I ask where you get your interfacing? The stuff I have bought is really not good and peels off as soon as I’ve steamed in on. Xxx

Hi there! Thanks so much; I'm so glad you found the video helpful. I buy my interfacing from Fabric Land usually and the brand is Vilene. I buy it off the roll for about £2 per meter.
