I bought a pattern with awful instructions and this video SAVED ME, thank your for making it so clear. I watched another video to do the pleated skirt and came back to finish ❤

Excellent video, thank you ❤ I realised that it was difficult to understitch (I was using viscose with poly-chiffon, veeerrry fidley!) at this point due to the shoulders being attached but I did it up to the point that it was becoming narrow

Best video of showing and explaining step by step. I've watched loads of videos and this is the only one that made sense, gave step by step and DIDNT RUSH. Will be using it step by step on my new sewing Venture SH

Lovely, I have been looking for a tutorial such as this, then I found yours! Fabulous, however, I would have liked to see you sew the other side of the zip in place. I am 76 and been sewing 70 years, starting with doll clothes and bits of torn of parachute silk when my father was stationed at RAF Church Fenton - happy days. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Good tutorial. Doesn't having the lining make you go up a size for the top? I always feel that it is going to be a snugger fit because of lining.

I have been sewing for over 70 years. How I wish this tutorial had been available then. It is the simplest, most concise and easiest way to put in a lining I have ever seen. I am using it now for a christening dress for my first great grandchild. I have used it for 5 other garments before this one and they all turned out great. I won't ever use those awful, cheap looking facings again. Thank you for making sewing more rewarding and my granddaughter's dresses looking more professional.

Thank you so much, exactly what I was looking for. It's like a magin when you pulled the main fabric from underneath the liner with zipper in between 😊 I had no idea that it can be done this way. Thank you so much once again 👍

Fantastic!!!! It's my goal to have a wardrobe pretty much exclusively dresses and especially self sewn. This was so much fun to watch. Don't know how you found the time with teaching. New subscriber 😊Hope you start making videos again ✨🎉❤️

I know this is an older video but I have a question! So do you only attach the skirt to the outside fabric and not the lining right? When initially sewing it on? This video had been so helpful!!

Loved your video and such a great help for learning how to do a bodice lining. I’ve viewed a lot of videos and yours is by far the best. Thank you as I know this must have taken such a long time.

I absolutely enjoyed this, especially if you find a pattern that fits well. So many lovely dresses. Love the gingham one and the last one is just gorgeous and your pattern placement is so well thought out. Could I ask, the yellow skirt you are wearing is lovely too, what pattern did you use. Love your blouse especially the pink buttons :)

My Grandma was a dressmaker. She learnt her trade in the 1930’s. She only ever wore dresses. Every single one was from the same pattern but they were all different. Amazed at her talent.

This is by far the best video I have come across . You have just saved my project for I didn’t know how else to sew up the sides seams before installing an invisible zipper . Thank you so very much .

Hi! I think the label tags are a great idea because it saves precious time when it comes to searching for something to make or trade out with a sewing friend. A good way to recycle a cereal box!

This is a fab video but I got lost when you attached the zip. Not sure how you attached it to the outer bodice and the skirt when the lining is already attached to the waistband?

Hi.... great video until you got to the invisible zipper when you lost me..... I have put in many invisible zippers but your technique with the lining beautiful.... just could not see clearly in the video just how you did it....
