DIY Digital Piano Repair (Keys Not Working) Casio Privia PX-110

This keyboard keeps having little problems, but luckily they've all been manageable without catastrophic failure. But I've had it for a long time and if I'm able to extend it's life I'm going to try at least.
I'm not a professional electronics repair person. But I have experience in basic troubleshooting and principles. You don't have to have formal training to repair electronics. You just have to be curious, but careful. Some experience is nice and if you're an absolute beginner you may mess up here or there, but if you can get through it you will learn.

I would have used a vacuum and a small brush to get most of the dust and hair off before spraying any liquid. Also use a cover on the keyboard or stand it vertically when not in use. You can use an old pillowcase or cardboard for a cover.

good notes. I def don't do best practices most of the time, but I try to get things done as best I can. A vacuum would be a good thing to invest in

Instead of cleaning your keyboard, It might be a little easier to shave your cats! (i know, that's easier said than done!)

I'm stumped at the moment - one key intermittently working - disassembled, cleaned, and same thing. The part I don't understand, is I tried another 'rubber button' or contact piece from another key to test on the 'dead' one, and it works! There are two contact points under the rubber button that when key is pressed, makes contact with the circuit. Both contact points have tiny circular dark material, maybe felt or rubber, not sure. What could possibly be wrong with the contacts? I'm down to thinking maybe the actual electronics are damaged, although does not visually appear to be. Thought I had it, too! Any tips are very welcome, thanks!

Hey. Nice video! I am searching for the Main board (10288048) and the Display board (10288046) for a Casio Privia PX-320. Do you know where I can find it, even used or refurbished? I am also willing to buy another equal piano with some other problem so I can remove this parts and use it. Do you have the same model Piano so I can remove some parts?

Unfortunately I don't know any place off the top of my head. Might find some luck on ebay, but this is an older model so there may not be many out in the field

Please I have one and power comes on and goes off frequentl I opens it I andfound out that some wires are cut off so please make a video showing how the wire connection are done

Hi Jonathan. I actually made a video when I was having trouble with the keyboard not turning on. I ended up having to replace the DC power jack and I go a little bit into the connections. I'm not really an expert in electronics, but I know enough to fix things sometimes, but here is the video and I hope it helps. The black plastic grommets that the keys snap into break so be careful.
