Happy Birthday Presley 🎂🎉🎈 My daughter is now 25 but when she was little and we had a party, I would keep one of everything (like one cup, one plate, kept special deflated balloons etc etc) and stuck them in a scrapbook with photos of the day, who came, food & drink that she had, basically everything. She still loves those books and I made every one of her birthday cakes, I think that’s what makes it so special for them; mum made it. Good job and great memories for Presley to keep 😀👏👏

Hello. Great job! A little advice when baking a cake. Use butter instead of oil. Milk instead of water and add at least 2 extra eggs. It makes the cake lighter and yummier!

This is so sweet! My daughter turned 9 on Memorial Day but I still did as much as I could to make her quarantine bday special. Normally we would all go to Friendly’s for dinner which we’ve done every year since she turned one. My family all drove by and dropped of gifts and balloons and a few stayed to watch her open her presents. She actually said it was the best birthday ever which made me really happy. I was going to get one of those services where people come n put signs in your yard but I couldn’t find anyone near me. So I looked on amazon and their signs were so expensive. I lucked out and Michael’s actually had yard stakes that spelled out Happy Birthday for $15!!! So I ordered that and she wanted a space themed bday, which I actually found on amazon, along with some Mylar balloons shaped like the number 9 so we were good to go. We have a huge helium tank that’s been at our house for like 30 years. So luckily we’re able to blow up balloons but if we didn’t have that we’d for sure get one of those smaller ones. She was so happy and surprised and just felt like she was queen for the day with all the honks and beeps she got from our neighbors driving by. We think we need to get the best or more stuff when it comes to our kids but in reality, they are just as happy with the simple things we put together because I think it shows them how much we love them, regardless of how much money we spend. You did great and now you have a 4 year old who I’m guessing will start PreK in the fall. I think 4 is when I really noticed my kids starting to grow up. Their interests change a little and even tho they’ll always be our babies, they start becoming their own individuals and it’s hard to see sometimes but it’s rewarding knowing that we got them to where they are and with our love and support, they continue to grow and flourish. Sorry so long but my kids are my world and I can’t talk about them enough. Plus I like seeing Presley in her jammies because my kids love being in their pjs as much as possible and if we’re just staying at home, why dirty a pair of clothes just because lol. Yes she was in pre k this past year too. Ours is 3-5 years old and then at 5 she will start kindergarten. How special you made her birthday. Kids enjoy the simple things. The more balloons the happier and all the love and time spent is what they need. Presley has a great birthday and loved every second. Lol. My kids are always in their pjs but Presley mostly. She wears hot fleece ones now, even when it’s 90 out lol

Lol my son is always wanting to put on his winter pjs, even now, because he says he misses them lol. Last week it was his glowing in the dark skeleton ones. A couple weeks ago it was the full fleece onesie zip up with the feet attached. Of course I let him but ugh, idk how he’s not sweating to death in those things lol. Well I’m glad she had a good bday and you’re right, kids are so happy with the simplest things. It’s the parents who make a bigger deal out of it. The ones who need to have the biggest and best parties. I’m not that parent. I do things to please my kids, not everyone else. Have a good weekend! Can’t wait for your next video!!

Here are a couple of tips for making a boxed cake that turn out like it came from a bakery. Substitute milk for water and butter instead of oil. The cake will be so moist with great texture. Also, instead of cutting off the mound on top of the cake, take two paper towels folded together and press down the top of the cake while it is still warm. It makes a nice flat cake for decorating. The decorations you put on the cake were so adorable, I got hungry looking at it. Presley is such a cutie! I love how she always gets into your videos and helping you. Cherish these moments while your girls are still young. They will be grown in a blink of an eye. God bless you and your family.
