DIY Dollar Tree Pumpkin Candle

Me I would've painted it black on the outside and orange on the inside and do some carving look for the eyes and mouth and nose to make look cool so when you light the candle you'll see the face.

Use the scented little squares that go in a wax warmer. They work better at fragrance. And wicks are so expensive. I use the onesfrom dollar store candles

You can also use a butter knife to roll the wick. Roll wick around butterknife, the place butterknife on top of candle. It'll save you on those chopsticks.

I floated pieces of cinnamon sticks and cloves on my wax before it was completely cooled, and it gives off a really nice light fall scent ❤

I've put coffee beans in my candles mixed with cinnamon roll scented squares & it smells so good. One of my neighbors bought 10 of them to give as gifts

She'd be better off using real wax colorant. It's not expensive. Crayons can clog your wick which can cause the candle to burn poorly. Plus, have you ever smelled a crayon?

There are better options than crayons that are really cheap. Crayons are OK if you're doing a home project and not giving it away or anything of the sort.

Always make sure the jar is ok to use when the wicks are lit, I learned that the hard way lol I thought you could use any type 😂

Yes, very true. But I actually bought Jara from Amazon that specifically were for candles, and I made one and gave as a gift, and it shattered. I was so embarrassed.

I definitely wouldn't assume any glassware from dollar tree would be heat resistant and shatterproof.

You can also re-use the wicks from the candles, so you dont have to buy a wick kit. Thats what i used to do!

You can place the candles in the freezer overnight. Then take them out and the wax will fall out. Then it's safer to melt it.

I would have bought some scented candles with orange wax but that would have made it a little more expensive to make. Maybe some way to make the wax orange yourself and add in your own scent with essential oils pr whatever is used to make candles smell? Either way this is still nice
