am not from the States. two years ago I have renovated my room and I was introduced to Etsy. Without any intention or knowledge I bought some rustic pieces and put them together in a corner. Back then I didn't even know that farmhouse decor was a thing and I was wondering why people woulf distress their furniture on purpose but I loved my pieces because they were beautiful, warm, and simple. With time I became more and more interested in this type of decor. Your videos introduced me to the nuts and bolts of farmhouse decor. Know I notice the fabrics, colors and the elements you use like the truck, the windmill and the gnomes. The fact that I watched those videos during these circumstances and that they helped me take mind off what is happening is an added advantage. Thank you very much Katelyn!

Love them all. You are the first one Ive seen to use the flip flops. I picked up several of the flip flops to paint. I think they are so cute. I painted one stars and stripes, one nautical like beach wood and one with lemons. They are so fun.

I love all the crafts you do!!! With your sticky painters tape, try sticking it to your shirt and pulling it off 2 or 3 times to see if it makes it just a little less sticky for you.

The pineapple was my favorite but I like all of them. I have a WELCOME sign at my front door that has a blank space above the W and the after the ‘C’. I would love to see more crafts like the pineapple that I could attach to the top of the sign or use to replace the O. Thanks!

I’m with you! First, talk about creative!!! I have that 4th of July sign and it never occurred to me to transform it into a watermelon (even though I’ve been hunting high and low for watermelon decor for my kitchen)! This beautiful, sweet girl has so much natural talent and such a unique ability to see potential in the most basic items, I’m always blown away by her videos. What’s even more appealing is her genuine humility...I don’t think Katelyn has any idea how immensely talented she really is, and at such a young age! OMGosh!! You did an ABOVE EXCELLENT painting job on the watermelon sign project . Your shading was perfect and the seeds were just right. Angle the water across the bottom add some waves lapping toward the beach, the paint the top with sand. Don't use straight lines to define the two. Mod podge sand onto the sign would be cute.

You can take a puddy knife and scrape all that off, so you can have both sides clean. I Love your watermelon it looks great!

I really like the idea of looking at an item, and being able to see it used in a different format like the watermelon! Most of the signs at DT are just paper attached to MDF board, so they can be tricky to paint over, and why it is so important to seal them as you mention Katelyn. 😊
