DIY Dragon-Fly 🦋 with Fimo & UV Resin, relaxing tongue drum sound

I hope you enjoy my new video tutorial, please let me know if you like the background handpan sound. I broke free from my comfort zone and tried something new in another creative direction. I love to create relaxing art videos.
This tutorial is for beginners also. Everything you need is:
-UV Resin and lamp
-Polymer Clay ( I used Fimo)
-Alcohol Ink
-Tape
-Wire
-(clay machine)
Step 1: Polymer Clay
use 2 different colors of clay and blend it. I did it with a machine, but you can also do it without. How much clay you need? that depends on how big you want to make it. take a thin wooden popsicle stick to create the grooves. Make some wholes in the front at the head, mine have 1 cm distance. Don't forget to form some eyes, not that the dragon-fly crashes :D
Step 2: Wire
Use some wire to create the wings. The wings in the front are a little bit bigger than the back wings. I show you exactly how you can form the wire in my video. Fix it with some metal glue. I made small balls to hide wire cause that was not very beautiful.
Step 3: UV Resin
Attach the tape to the upper side of the wing. Fix the edges with the uv resin first, then pour the resin into the entire surface.
Now remove the tape from the wing.
Make 2 colored resin layers at every side. Finish it with another layer of resin.
Even when there are some tricky steps, it is easy to create.

Purple & blue combination is so beautiful 😍 Not so sure about the little orbs on the back of the dragonflies, i think id prefer if the wings would be attached straight into the body instead to make it look bit more sleek. Could see these hanging front of a window so the colours would be reflected with sunlight :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Maybe i find a better option for the wings next time, i will try it! ❤️ their are a lot color combinations in what we can create these dragon-flies. i am very motivated to do another video...
