Luther, is one of your kids a person of color? Good job. My daughter is. Let me throw this in. Sakcrete has a 6 minute video on their 3 cold patches that doesn’t have glue. They say, 1. Have 2” edge vertical wall so patch material can push against it, 2. Lay the patch 2” high, then tamp to 1”, and repeat all the way to last 1”, where you lay 2” down and tamp to be even with surface. You have a gas tampering, excellent. If there’s enough tamping, the stones will interlock and in real time, become hard, and the surface is smooth and not jagged. (The physics is like packed snow or packed powered where the flakes interlock.) Because people don’t tamp enough, Aquaphalt adds a water activated glue and instructs tamping to level out the surface. For that, they charge $63 per bucket while Sakcrete is $20 for 60 lbs with no glue. Your gas tamper can do quickly. If not Aquaphalt, the Latexite Quick Patch with water glue is $38 compared to $63.

This will be a $450 hot patch with hot asphalt + seal all around with hot rubber.

This material sets up nicely with water but expensive at $60 a bucket at Ace Hardware. Makes sense for smaller pot holes, your 15 buckets = $900 + tax would it have been cheaper to get a professional to do it and save the labor of prep, carrying the bucket, tamp. 5:38 Hope you got a refund on the bad bucket.

@@Trust_but_Verify then I wouldn’t have been able to have the kids to help with this project or this video to make. Thx for watching! Buy from local utility supply house cheaper. Few of these were left over from old jobs so I was running the risk of them being hard.
