That's a tough job to tackle, those who have not done it have no idea, you really stretched the usability of those products and came up with decent results.

First, cracks appear for a variety of reasons, but if the cause(s) remain, like settling foundation, tree roots, water seepage from surrounding soil, etc., the driveway is being attacked from underneath which requires analysis and difficult remedies. Attacks from above, which are UV, weather and driveway settling, is within your DIY to fix or stop. So, you repair the surface to stop water seepage from doing more damage, then seal the surface. There no need to resurface since the contractor will do it poorly and same problems start again.

Just sealed mine last weekend. Wanted to get it while we still have a couple 90+ degree days. 100 x 25 - pressure washed, troweled in cracks, & used 5 buckets of Latex-ite sand mix.

I find the premium 10 year filler sealer ones stick the best . The 14-18$ sealers peel up easy

MIX IN TROWEL PATCH TO MAKE IT THICKER IF IT LOOKS LIKE THIS. MIX WITH A PATTLE DRILL ATTACHMENT. I have another video up on actually how to resurface a driveway which. Is a thicker mix and fills in the imperfections

Thanks for recording your efforts mate! What I'm also interested in is the concrete aspect to either level (in my case) or repair as combination repair? How did the concrete aspect go? Why did you choose concrete over asphalt patch and do you think it answered your vision and all your questions? I need to level my asphalt driveway but can't afford to bring professionals in. I'm guessing that concrete is a less expensive solution for me as I have sooooooo many dips in my driveway. The price of cold patch is probably close to having a professional do the entire driveway, so clearly a non starter fore me. I figure concrete is cheaper and if it bonds fairly decently to the sshphelt then a top coat sealer of some kind would colour-match the whole thing? Thoughts?

Well before the pandemic it was CHEAP. I could do a driveway patch for like 12 bucks 😂😂😂

How did this holdup so far? Specifically the concrete part? I have an asphalt driveway and I’m considering repairing multiple areas with high strength concrete

It's held up OK... of course over a 24 month period it will always need recoated. Of course they say "3-5 year coating" But max you will usually get out of any driveway sealer is around 2 years if you live in temps that constantly fluctuate.
