DIY Easter Dollhouse Mansion | Sylvanian Families

Here's a DIY for a pastel cardboard dollhouse handmade craft for Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters and other 3" figures, also great for a child's room or any cutesy pastel room aesthetic. I wanted a big craft to celebrate 1K subs and since I skipped the dollhouse idea for Christmas, I themed this house to Easter... posted almost a week after Easter but it was a time consuming craft. I actually finished building it on Easter Sunday. I don't really advertise this channel so thanks to the people who've liked, subscribed, and commented on my videos. It's inspired me to try to make content more often than once every few years. Only the exterior of the house is finished so the interior might be a part 2 video. Happy Belated Easter, and thanks for my first 1K.
The house measures a little under 18" tall, 8" deep on the deepest side, and 12" wide.

Really enjoyed watching you make this. It's amazing what can be done with such simple material like cardboard, glue and lolly sticks etc. You did such a great job and must have a lot of patience! The Sylvanians look pleased as punch to be in a fancy new home. (And congrats on the 1k!)

Thanks. It would take a while to reproduce templates digitally, but the overall size is about 18" tall, 8" deep, and 12" wide.

​@@jpaul19791 That's awesome! Let me know how it turns out. I should have mentioned this in the video but you can also add a bit of detail with the paint, like making the top and bottom sections different colors, painting a marble design, or outlining the rectangular panels in white or gold.

What did you use for the door hinge? And, how were you able to cut out the oval shape from the door?

I used card stock for the door hinges and cut the oval shape with a box cutter.

Thank you. I'm not sure how long it took exactly. I started recording March 12th and finished Easter Sunday, but I mostly worked on it Saturdays and sometimes in the evenings after I got off work, maybe a few days worth of work in total if I add it up, and the interior still needs to be done.
