DIY: Easter Eggs w/ Note Inside

Cute DIY easter eggs with a secret message/note hidden inside. These are fun to make even for different holidays other than easter. And are a nice surprise at parties where people can crack an egg and find a funny note inside :)!
How to:
1. Empty out the egg by punching a needle through both sides of the egg. Then blow from other end of the egg to get all the egg whites&yolk out of the other end.
2. For NATURAL coloring of the eggs I used hot black coffee. Simply dip the egg shells into the coffee, take out and let them dry for a minute. Repeat until you've got the result you want. You can also try tea, onions and other natural "dyes".
3. To get PINK eggs I added a little bit of vinegar to hot water with red food dye. Dip the eggs, let them dry, repeat as many times as you'd like.
4. Decorate as you wish. I just added white dots using acrylic paint.
5. Add the note inside through one of the holes you punctured to the egg in step one.

Maybe you can rinse it after you clear out the egg, or use ceramic eggs :)

Ya, I would boil the eggs after cleaning them out first. It'll also remove the numbers printed on the eggs if there are some :)

Hmm, the only way I can think of is to make the holes a bit bigger & use a small pen or needle to poke the confetti into the egg through the hole. Then you could 'close' the hole with some glue, beeswax or candle wax
