Lorrie, I'm just a 13 year old boy using his mothers KZbin account. Yet at my age, your videos inspire me to do my own egg art. Please keep making more videos so you can inspire other people with your amazing talent.

Thank you for sharing this, I do a lot of art work and every year just around Easter the kids always ask me to color eggs not with them but for them, and for 17 years since they were born (twins), I try to do something different, I`v even spay painted them one year and forgot to tell them not to eat them, lucky for me they came out to nice and they didn`t want to crack them open :) I love this idea, and once again thank you.

Thanks to your tutorial, I've done 1/2 dozen eggs, am currently finishing up on one as I type Lol. I didn't have the tools to make a dauber like you have and I think I've discovered an easier way to daub. I cut up 4 equal pieces of white pipe cleaner, put a small coil on the end. Turn the coil so the pipe cleaner will stand up, now it has a handle. It uses less ink, gives me more control and I can use it over and over again. Stay Blessed. :)

Garden Guru Fantastic idea, thanks for sharing. Another is to not have a tool and just use small piece of paper towel. Wear gloves if you're using your fingers as the dauber.

Lorrie, try using some of the blending solution with the inks. The colors will blend real well.
@LorriePopow10 жыл бұрын
Hi Joyce, yes the blending solution works very well, or you can use just rubbing alcohol too. For these eggs I didn't need that look. Thank you for watching my video.
@charsbabushka10 жыл бұрын
Lorrie Popow Well these are soo bright and pretty, you really don't need the blending solution. They are very happy looking eggs. I can see why your grand children like to make them. The heck with the grand kids. I want to make them. Guess I will have to get my inks our.

Lorrie, I have written an egg (with wax) and want to use alcohol inks on the egg. When I remove the wax to reveal the design, will the ink smear or run?
@hkreations51089 жыл бұрын
This was just beautiful! Have you ever tried adding small drops of rubbing alcohol with the inks? I've seen that done on fingernails and the results are equally amazing as your video. Too bad Easter was yesterday, but I will be trying this soon anyway. Thanks for sharing. :)

Garden Guru Oh yes, the rubbing alcohol takes the artwork to a new and interesting level.Thank you for watching my videos.Have fun egging.

Wow this was neat, how much do the alcohol usually cost and did you use a boiled egg or a blown out one??
@LorriePopow9 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The eggs are blown out. As for price on the alcohol inks, I'd suggest you check out Jim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks. I wouldn't want to tell you a wrong price. Again, thank you, and thank you for watching my videos.

hi there! what are you using to glaze the eggs? is it oil? thanks!
@LorriePopow7 жыл бұрын
Many start with a lite spray of Krylon UV Resistant Clear Acrylic coating. This is to protect the dyes from fading and also to keep the dyes from smearing. After this thin spray a varnish or epoxy can be applied to give it the rich deep glossy look.

Lorrie Popow thank u so much. will try this on easter.
