DIY Easy Glazing Fix ~ Guardsman Touch-Up Markers

I sanded down the shiny red glazing with a nail file a bit, very lightly then I used the E74 marker and it came out so good, a beautiful burgundy color, not too shiny, not too dull, perfect.

Hi, what did you use to set it? Did you use a clear sealant over it after the marker dried??

I did the same except it looks very spotty. Some spots are darker than others.

Easy way to color the sides of the vachetta, but the glazing is actually a thick acrylic paint like patent leather acrylic that waterproofs and seals the side of the vachetta. You can use markers, but it does nothing to protect the leather. It would be better to use just plain acrylic paint for all surfaces sold at Walmart, it forms a plastic type seal. If your hands are very shaky, use a clear pvc glue. It will dry clear, is waterproof, and is durable and doesn't change the color of the original glazing

I used these exact ones on some of my bags and it didn’t dry down- just wiped off. I think it depends on the type of glazing or edging sealant that’s used. It had no effect on some bright red glazing on my azur.

Try a nail file to buff it ... gives it that matte look like auth

Both glazing look fake. I think that’s the big problem with replicas. I can’t wait to see a seller that will fix the glazing problem.

Use patent leather acrylic paint. It forms a very durable edge coat. Or buy Edge Kote, it's not that expensive
