I am mesmerized. I have already emailed my husband to buy me a kit! Ive been looking for a hobby I could do when the weather is bad and I can not garden...This is perfect. Beautiful work.

What a beautiful design. I started doing pysanky 15 years ago but have never had the courage to do an ostrich egg.

Thank you for your kind words. Since the ostrich is larger it take a bit longer, but I look at it as having more fun.

I too am transfixed! What kind of varnish do you use? Oil based? Thank you
@LorriePopow2 жыл бұрын
Yes for any decorated eggshell that has been dyed or inked please use an oil based varnish. Water based varnishes will wash away the dyes or inks and ruin your artwork. Thank you for watching my videos.

Lorrie, can u please tell how do u erase a pencil marks from the egg?
@LorriePopow10 жыл бұрын
Hi Roksanna, First we need to learn to use a light touch in making our pencil lines. I make mine darker for the videos so they can be seen. Okay, there are a few things you can do to removed the pencil marks. By melting wax over the pencil marks you now can use that melted wax to rub over the pencil marks and most will come off. You can use Goof Off, Lighter Fluid, Mineral Spirits, or a white artist eraser.
