The sponsored by winter made me laugh out loud! Thanks for another great video

So beautiful! And cutting your neck hole too large was fortuitous, the gently gathered neckline looks really good. If I owned this gorgeous cloak I would never want to take it off!

What a beautiful garment. I am an upholsterer part of the time at my job and I also do a bit of canvas work. I have been considering getting into making real cloaks and capes to sell as a side business. I love Tolkeins work in print, but not a huge fan of the movies. Although, they do reveal a lot of visual aids to conceptualize certain things. I live in a rather rural area with lots of woods and nature preserves and I am a hiker and love camping and bushcraft, so the appeal of a cloak for me is mostly functionality. Warmth, protection from the elements and of course just the uniqueness of the experiences of my woods walks, feeling a bit more protected in something designed just for the occasion also has an appeal. Most of the non LARP pieces that I've seen advertised are made of wool and I like leather for straps and toggles for closures, just a personal preference. I really like your embroidery. Even a small amount for a mans cloak would be attractive...I like the small vines. You do great work. Thank you so.much for sharing. I'm not someone who enjoys making videos. I tried it. It's not for me, so I really do appreciate content creators who choose to create something tangible and physical. It really is art. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Thank you, merry Christmas to you too! It sounds like an absolutely wonderful place where you live, and to have a cloak designed for hikes is such a perfect idea. I think men can absolutely have embroidery! Historically speaking, that was the case anyway

I have in my possession a Stansborough cloak, the same company that made the cloaks from the LOTR films. It's hand made on a loom and the pattern created throughout is simply a masterpiece. That said, I've seen many how-to make a cloak videos on KZbin that show very basic sowing of fabric pieces. To see that you took the time to actually embroider a wonderful design throughout your cloak shows an attention to detail that I appreciate immensely. Cheers.

Really nicely done! Good story! I love the mountain scenes--reminds me of where I grew up! I read LOTR when I was ten in 1970. My father had it. I love how he translated the Volsunga saga into modern fantasy. Lovely cloak--I have a ton of Art Nouveau--I love it! Those embroidery machines look intimidating though. I just do it by hand. Takes forever!

I really love how that turned out. That's such a stunningly beautiful cloak. I love how it's so incredibly beautiful and elegant yet cozy, and also simple yet intricate, absolutely gorgeous yet practical. I bet it keeps you nice and warm. It's pretty enough that I think it'd be awesome if you wore it in other seasons (although I imagine it's not practical in the summer). How long do winters last where you live? Here winter lasts from the end of November through the first half of April. Although it can snow even in October and May as well.

I really love this cloak as I am looking into making one for the winters in Scotland, and was wondering what fabric you used for this project.

I used an upholstery fabric from a discount store so I'm not a 100% sure of its fabric content 😅

TBH, I kind of regret the fabric of choice, as it's not the most waterproof. If you can afford it I would recommend wool, medium or heavy weight. That would would last a while in the rain before soak ing through 😊

It's a heavy weight poly-cotton upholstery fabric. But anything with a good weight and drape can work. Wool would be the best actually, only if it wasn't so expensive 😮💨
