Stunning❣️ It’s a wonderful idea to use the lace doily for embossing. 👍😍

WOW!!!!!!! Genius!!!!!! I saw video title and almost skipped past, cuz I thought it was just regular embossing of paper!!! Boy, was I surprised! I also have crochet pieces from my grandmother & mother. I've had since I was 12. I would never cut them up. I did cut up 2 that were all torn up from using them for 53 years. I buy old ones to cut up for my journals. I crochet so its extra difficult to cut up a crochet piece!!! Haha! I can't believe you even THOUGHT of doing this!!! It really is GENIUS!!! It came out gorgeous. And YES,...it brings so many other ideas to mind for papermaking. I glad you thought of this. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. I'm super excited to do this and also expand on the idea. I think this is the new BEST IDEA for junk journal makers!!! I LOVE this idea!!! Thanks, Austin,TX USA

These are lovely tags (especially the pink rose!) You are very fortunate to have all those lovely old doilies! I have a few from my grandmother-in-law. My grandmother did beautiful needle point! I also couldn't imagine cutting up any of them. This looks like fun. I'll try it. I saw a video a few days ago where the person tore up paper egg cartons to make paper mache' boxes. I suppose I could try to use one to make paper! I get the free printables from Graphics Fairy. My problem is making them smaller when I print them out.

Thank you, Ce Ce. I do feel very fortunate to have those doilies and I treasure them. I think paper egg cartons would work great to make the paper, what a great idea! Did you have more pulp left in the tub ? I am trying to gage how much one blender of paper will make.
@thegraphicsfairy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Deborah, yes there was pulp left in the tub. I would say you could get about a full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper out of one batch. It's so quick once you have it set up to do more batches, though, too!
@deborahsturgess78473 жыл бұрын
@@thegraphicsfairy thank you so much. About what thickness did you make the paper ? I guess you can make it as thick as you want ? I love the idea of using vintage lace and crocheted pieces. I have tons !!
@thegraphicsfairy3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can make it as thick or thin as you would like. Mine was pretty thick, probably about 1/16th of an inch? You could also roll it out flatter with a rolling pin!

Beautiful tags, but alot of work goes into the papermaking to cover it up with other tags.
@thegraphicsfairy3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree, so I tried to print the images small so that more of the paper would show. You could always print them even smaller - I think some of the postage stamp printables would work really well, as an alternative! :)
