I am thrilled to see the upcoming progress and results. Are you going to implement the Jet pump ?

@radomirfilip87412 ай бұрын
@@myengines2443By 'jet pump,' I refer to the feature that prevents the phenomenon known as Gedeon streaming, which can occur in this moving wave arrangement of the Stirling engine cycle and disrupt its efficiency.

Nice to hear of you, i tried to contact you but it did not work, sorry for that! You are the inventor of this type of engine as Attila Blade wrote recently to me and I must apologize to you for not making it clear enough that the engine is built according to your design. I'll make up for that now and wrote it in every older description and will show it clearly in every new video! I hope it is ok to make this videos of my replication and to try to develop it further! If I should do something or to not do please let my know and we surely will find a solution! I thought it was a older, common design but Attila Blade just corrected me and I can not apologise enough for that! I don't want to make any money with your Ideas I just want to generate electricity for myself and spread the idea of the Sirling engine. I would be very happy if you can write your opinion about this as I really feel sad about my fault! Now I just want to say how much I like your design and that you are a great developer. Thank you very much! Ralf

Is there a load on the engine?
@myengines24432 ай бұрын
No, the piston is free oscillating, a linear generator is partly completed and will hopefully be tested soon...
@DougRawlings-b2v2 ай бұрын
@myengines2443 I'm just concerned that without a load on the engine, even if that load is not being measured, will mean that other measurements may not be useful. But if you intend to add that generator before making 'proper' measurements then I understand.
@myengines24432 ай бұрын
I am developing the engine step by step and it will take its time as it just a hobby. Now I measure the inside pressures without a load but later with some. It probably will not show the exact conditions of the thermoacoustc cycle but hopefully will be helpful for developing the engine to more power! I want to develop it more technically than academic if this is what you mean. Many thanks for your good thoughts, plz go on!
@DougRawlings-b2vАй бұрын
@myengines2443 If you don't have a load, what will the pressure build up against if you switch to the three flame burner? Without a load all your energy input to the system is being converted into losses. If the frequency is fixed by the behaviour of the wave(s) in the medium then maybe increased power will increase the stroke of piston movement. I have no experience with these engines and it's a long time since I studied thermodynamics so I think you have already learnt more than me!
@DougRawlings-b2vАй бұрын
Maybe what I mean is, if you increase the power when all the energy is going into losses then are you maybe inadvertently increasing the losses? Or maybe optimising for a different running condition to that which will eventually be used.

Is there any concern about the flexible tubing flexing slightly under pressure spikes and dragging down efficiency?
@myengines24432 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely. At first I used simple pvc hoses without reinforcement, the deformation was very strong there. The new reinforced hoses are much more stable and better! Later I will use rigid metal tubes for sure!

More details please. This could have easily been a 90 minute video instead of only 5 minutes. Tell us everything. Show us your build and more test results. I see a scope in there, explain what it's showing. Tell us about that pressure sensor you used. The engine looks unchanged but I'm betting you're tweaking more than the burner, show us what you've done.

You are right, I could make hours long videos of my experiments but I think it would be very boring for most people and it is also much work. I try to report on major progress and try to make more and longer videos in the future!

Engineering sidenote,,, How about engines with catalytic coatings on the piston faces and on the engine head? The ceramic insulating plasma sputtering can be easily followed up by some sort of catalytic deposit, either chemically or sputtering too. The combustion would be improved during and after, even up to the last of the exhaust stroke. THen the exhaust ports would need the same treatment too. THere is surface area and temperature advantages to be had. THen the headers are of course mandatory stainless steel pipe headers. but right at the manifold out, there is a metal catalytic converter, the folded metal type, with catalyst being itself and too some precious metal catalyst. For each cylinder. You could even go a bit further and add o2 ports right into the heads, wouldnt want more than 4 cylinders, duh. Overall the emissions would just be great. And the cost to service is low, its just inserts in the ss pipe that never goes bad. And the cost to make it is low. Just some pipe and cut plate in stainless. The ceramic coating is basically just another added step, with low cost processing. And the important areas are coated, like they should be, the engine head and the exhaust. This keeps the heat in, then the reaction can take place more easily. This would keep cars and diesel engines at low enough emissions while keeping the 80mpg plus potential of the 4 cylinder tdi. Steam is good if its really up there in temperature.

Another sidenote, I get way better efficiency with SPARKLING CLEAN solar panels on an overcast day. I use griots ceramic 3 in 1 super hydrophobic durable sub micron coating for making the panels self clean for up to 1 year 2 years depending on the environment. Its verrrry good stuff, but save it for your cars and glass surfaces. It only works well for a long time with the hard surfaces like that. Its highly reccomended, and it could probably do 50kw of solar panels. The long term cleaning and efficiency and lifespan improvments if its just 20 dollars every 1.5 years, ITS a real solution.
