If you're coming down into the comments to ask what size ...don't because you can use any size paper you want. you can use 12 by 12 inch paper and make a big envelope or can use a tiny piece of scrap paper and make a tiny tiny envelope to hold stickers that's the whole point of this. You can use whatever size paper you'd like and make an envelope for whatever your need is

Hello sweetboo1022. I am yet to find a comment like this on my video! The purpose of my video was indeed supposed to be 'any piece of paper' to make a quick envelope. I use these envelopes for sending letters that I can fold to fit the envelope. I am getting a lot of comments asking about sizing, which I cover in another video. This was is supposed to be 'no measure', as you said, and me getting to the point. My personal preference is to use any rectangle. I do not use squares, really, but squares can be used. Working out the size of the final product comes with experience.

How do you know what size of paper to start with if you are needing it to fit a certain sized card?

This is very late, Sara, but I have just learned to estimate this from experience. The point of my video here is not to be precise. I am able to use all my envelopes because I can fold whatever is going in them to fit the envelope. Of course, this is not ideal for people who want to send postcards IN an envelope, or a photo, i.e. stuff that cannot be folded. I have posted a more recent video walking people through the process I use and approximate sizes of the finished envelopes.

I have posted a video today briefly covering sizing for those that want to know, but it is a much longer video. You're not dumb AT ALL. It's about trial and error. The point of my video was to skip measuring, so I wouldn't expect you to get a precise size from this video! This video is suitable for people who can fold their paper to fit inside the envelope, not really for people who want to send a specifically sized family photo they cannot fold, for example. The new video is there if you need it! :)

This paper came out of the FLOW Book for Paper Lovers. It is a bit smaller than printer paper - at least it is in the UK. I have posted a new video briefing everyone on approximate sizes but the video is longer and includes talking.
