At last u just poured only resin or resin mixed with hardened ? For giving shine .
@CharmsDIY Жыл бұрын
I have only used epoxy resin in this project and epoxy resin needs to be mixed with hardener to cure.

Good day! Great work! When you were doming these, you said it was a windy day. Are you pouring resin outside? How do you keep them clear of dust and other things? Everything looks amazing!
@CharmsDIY Жыл бұрын
Good day to you too! I work indoors with all my windows and door open. I try to cover my pieces whenever I am not working on them to prevent dust from entering, if any enter try to take it out with a toothpick but it is not always easy and impossible to keep it clear of dust or other things especially insects every time.

What is that you smooth the resin with. Looks like color stick.
@CharmsDIY2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean wooden craft stick or popsicle/icy pole stick...to mix and spread across the resin.

So it will 3 days to do these earrings ?
@CharmsDIY2 жыл бұрын
Yes, since I did doming on both sides, not counting the day for drilling. The resin I am using cures in 20 to 24 hrs.
@jannoliver1434 Жыл бұрын
May I ask why 2/1 ratio?
@CharmsDIY Жыл бұрын
Epoxy Resin comes in two parts, resin and hardener. They are to be mixed properly for reaction to occur and cure. It depends on the resin type and brand. The one I am using requires to be mixed in 2 parts resin and 1 part hardener. There are resins from other brands that are to be mixed in 1:1 or 3:1 ratio.
@jannoliver1434 Жыл бұрын
@@CharmsDIY ok thank you I have only used the type that is equal parts (1 to 1)

I want to make a project and I tried a small sample and it did not harden well. What is this bad luck? Please advise me, scientist. I want to get to know the owners of this profession and communicate with them via WhatsApp or Messenger so that they inform me and I benefit. I loved this idea or project. Is there anyone who responds? May God reward you with good.
@CharmsDIY11 ай бұрын
If the resin and hardener is mixed well and in the right ratio, then it has to do with the temperature. Is it cold there? Avoid doing epoxy resin in the cold season. The temperature has to be more than 22 degrees Celsius to cure. I hope this helps.
@israavlog945611 ай бұрын
@@CharmsDIY I thought the cold would help it harden more. I took the sample I made out to my balcony window at night so it would harden more. Thank you for the information. I will repeat the experiment again and I hope it will succeed this time.
