Is that toner printed on some heavy paper, I like they was it transfers. I ask because I used to work at an etching manufacturing facility, we used Ferric chloride, and kodak photo resist. We did not make PCBs, we made industrial name plates.
@junkyard_engineering Жыл бұрын
The inject gloss photo paper from Officeworks is good for transfer. It is easy to transfer the toner to the copper board with the iron. It is good for PCB. I not sure about the nameplate.

Thanks for making the 2nd generation tester, may I ask you, when on the board, what is the actual voltage applied across the capacitor under test? Will it lead to conduction of other semiconductors? Greetings from Taiwan fans, thank you
@junkyard_engineering Жыл бұрын
I believe that is about 5mv

Hi! I like your video and the way you have build your ESR meter. I want ask you for something: During the video you said: "be careful with the 470pf capacitors." What means that ? Is that for capacitors type and their quality? I also saw that you haven't used the the second part of the circuit ,the buzzer one. Can you please to tell me what kind of ceramic capacitors have you used in your circuit? Sorry for my English! Thank you!
@junkyard_engineering Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Please use high quality low lost capacitors. I used NPO ceramic capacitors. For some reason that I can't make the buzzer work. It put load on the circuit made the circuit unstable.

@@junkyard_engineering Sorry, I have to ask you how to correct the actual circuit diagram that does not use the buzzer (eg omit C5/C6/C7...)? Sorry, my English is not good, I hope you can understand me, thank you very much!

The voltage at the test leads is 5mV. It can't trigger any transistor.

I have constructed your esr meter using your schematics and pcb design. But it's not working!! No idea what gone wrong! The only suspect is the IC! No oscillation! Thanks!
@junkyard_engineering Жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. I tested it works on the bread board. But when I put it on the PCB, it didn't work. I found that I swapped the position of the two 470p capacitors each other. I swapped it back again, it works. I think the two capacitors are important. It should be good quality npo or mica capacitors. That is my opinion. Hopefully I t will help
