DIY Eurorack Studio Case (full build)

Hello again, long time no DIY. I want to share the Eurorack case that I built. It's 168HP // 21U and it's a powered beast made with red oak. I've been seeing nice cases like this being sold for about 5k. I don't have that cash, so I decided to figure out how to build one myself and record the process in case it was successful. I'm stoked to share my results and process with you.

Your case looks great. I used Trogotronic for a smaller case and can't recommend them enough. I opted for cutting the Vector rails myself and buying the brackets from Pulp Logic (also amazing quality). Thanks for the video. Will defiantly reference your work when I build my next case.

Cool video. I am bout to build a pretty huge DIY case for myself. Did you leave any gaps between the rails to compensate for spacing errors? I’m considering leaving a 1-2mm gap between each 3U row

I did not. However some of my angles get a bit tricky to get knurlies in, but other than that, everything is fine.

Looks great! One question: why so many holes on the back panel? You mentioned power, but there should just be one hole for that (i.e. the NEMA connector) correct? Wondering if I'm missing something concerning all the holes.

This is an interesting video. I'd never thought of building something like this or even that one could put something like this together. Just a few thoughts and suggestions. At 19:35 you should have the saw blade guide set down right on top of the wood. That keeps the blade from flexing and also acts a guard to keep your hand out of the blade if you slip. Your table saw and router table should also have guards to keep hands and fingers out. Constructive criticism: Watch the video and count how many times you said, "uh" and "yeah". So, uh, yeah. Yeah, uh there you go, yeah. How many times, uh, yeah, can you say, "yeah"? It is common for people to want to fill in the blank spaces or complete a train of thought with a filler sound. Practice leaving them out. Just stop talking. The sound isn't needed and becomes annoying for the viewer. You will also do better in live speaking.
