Thanks lovely!! I vowed I'm going to dry out at least a few petals from any flowers I get ......... Problem is I don't generally get flowers 😄 Maybe valentine's Day 😉 Oh and I've no green thumb but I somehow end up with some lovely flowers in the garden that I can use in Spring 🌼💐

@@CraftynotShiftyblog I never get flowers ... would have to buy my own ! But this has inspired me to do that xxx

Yass! If Darren ever buys flowers he says they are for the house not me and they are picked up with the weekly shop 😄

You are always so fun, Laura! I love your DiTry videos. The roses turned out beautiful using the proper silica. I like that you still tried the cat litter type. 🌹

Ahh thank you 🥰 I really enjoy the testing and experimenting. Imagine if the cat litter had worked 🤯 £3 would have been the ultimate bargain hack!

I have always wanted to dry flowers from special events using flower drying silica. Your experiment turned out pretty. I wouldn't mess with grinding the cat liter either the lung damage that powder can do isn't worth a DIY project. Looking forward to updates on your flowers over the next year.

Hi Roberta, yes I'm not going to mess with grinding and the dust 🙅♀️ The silica gel I used worked so well I'll be drying more flowers for sure 🌹

They are still going strong. They have lost some colour over the year and they look drier than they did on day one but no issues with moulding or anything like that 🌹
