same idea when i made my 5b gasket! but i sharped a old Flathead screwdriver like a blade and used it to pound cuts on my thick gasket material .just the same yours came out just as good,thanks for posing !

hi mate, can you tell the thickness of the gasket? recently i make my gasket muffler with 1mm thick gasket, but its still not sealed properly, the fuel still leaking from there

Hi, I measured mine and it's about 1mm, too. You have to make sure that your gasket surfaces are completely level or even with another surface. You can use a metal straight edge and check for gap on exhaust flange and on exhaust port mating surface. Exhaust flange might be warped and exhaust gasket won't cover it.
