How did you put the planks together? What did you use to glue it down? If that makes sense

That makes sense. I used wood glue and then placed the clips on to make sure it stayed in place until it was dry.

I really just eyed it. I used enough wood where a mom and child could be cradled comfortably. Cover the entire bottom and that should be enough space. I used 2x4s
