🍂ATTENTION: Q&As🍂 Does the fabric seam on the bottom affect how the gnome sits? The fabric I used is thin so it's just fine, plus there's a divet in the bottom of the bottle where most of the fabric is. It wobbles very little, hasn't fallen over and kids have ran by where it sits 😉 How to turn switch on and off? I am able to feel the switch through the burlap and am able to turn it on and off. You can create an access by not fully closing the tip or by not gluing the hat to the bottle, you can use velcro to attach to bottle if need be. How to change the batteries? I apologize for not sharing tips on how to change the batteries. You again could velcro the hat on instead of gluing to bottle. I ended up opening up the tip of the hat, the burlap is quite forgiving 😉 I opened enough that I could access the batteries, change them, put back and I didn't bother closing back up, I folded the tip over and it provided enough coverage so you can't see the battery pack. You could use a bit of velcro at the closure if desired. Hope this helps. Feel free to post questions in reply below. Thanks for your interest in this tutorial.

I'm trying to make some of these to sell and I'm having a hard time working the hat so that people can change the batteries in the lights. Do you have a way to do that without it looking crazy?

Aw, thanks so much 🤗 I forgot to mention, the bottom of the bottle is concave, so the bulk of the fabric sat in there. The layer of glue was thin and so was the fabric. It wobbled a tiny bit, but hasn't caused me any problems. Experiment and see. Depending on the fabric, you may need to cut away any excess or iron the seem flat. I just went for and it worked out for me 🤷‍♀️ lol. You could just make a tube of fabric without closing the bottom, I have done that before also 😉 Sorry, long winded 😄 I bought my burlap at a thrift store a while ago. Thanks for watching.
