Hey, notching those doors was a very nice idea for those of us that may not be vested in the idea of finding smaller doors and matching them to the cabinets, etc. Thank you for sharing.

First time I've seen someone make a solid "floor" bracket for the sink. Genius! I'm having trouble finding someone to build mine and this makes it looks so easy.

Great job! Finished project looks amazing. I am doing the same thing except for the side supports, I doubled up my plywood (on a kitchen renovation there are always lots of off cuts and measure once, cut twice pieces left over. LOL). You saved quite a bit with all your work.

Started watching this video because today I installed a farm sink into a very expensive custom welborn sink base it had no apron around it I had to cut the front of the cabinet at an angle because the sink was tapered and had no front apron on. cut to the inside of my lines and finished it by hand with a file and a rasp. While the other two guys on the job too chicken to cut it and the homeowner stood behind me turned out perfect hope I never have to do it again

Hi, good job installing the sink. Can you please tell me how you level the countertops before the quartz were installed? Thank you
@fredstone38754 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what he did but what I recently did was set it even with the top of the cabinets but not permanently glued in and installed this way after the countertop if it needs to be raised up I can shim under it and permanently install it

Ok, where is the air gap for the dishwasher ? I noticed on some trough sinks there is no extra hole for the dishwasher air gap. Do you just not use an air gap and hope dirty water doesn't back up into the dishwasher ?
@rickw17173 жыл бұрын
Drain for dishwasher ties into disposal. Loop of drain line from dishwasher is higher and disposal.

@rickw17174 жыл бұрын
Remove plumbing, strap from stick across drain to 2x across countertop to keep sink from falling, remove support for sink, cut caulking from bottom of countertop to top of sink. Sink should separate from countertop.

How did you do the gaps on each side of the sink. I'm running into the same problem

Notching the doors is a huge corner cut. Most of the time we RIP the doors to the proper length and dutch them back together. Sand and finish the door correctly and you would not even know. Notching the doors looks cheap and DIY
@martinbudz90994 жыл бұрын
Good job until I saw what you did with the doors. Omg :(. Why didn't you make them smaller. It wouldn't be so noticable. It looks terrible now
@THATREALDOGE99994 жыл бұрын
totally agree, when he goes to sell the house any smart buyer will have a huge problem with it. Also when you see a hack job like that on something like the doors it makes you wander what other corners have been DIY'd that either wont't pass inspection or just functions poorly.
@ritasimmons24722 жыл бұрын
Great job of installing the new sink. Awful job on the cabinet doors! Should have checked out the youtubes fix for correctly cutting the doors to correct size. That really needs to be redone. Painting the cabinets white, too would make your kitchen pop.

Farmhouse sinks should sit “under the countertop” not flush
@zimatosa3 жыл бұрын
It is flush with the "cabinet top" not the counter. You can see he put the counter on and that it extends over the sink. He did it nicely.
