With the skinny stripe pillow, I would put the 3 stripes on all 4 sides so the corners almost look like a little plaid! Really cute ideas!

I’ve used the regular pillow from Walmart to make a few pillows but I’ve always cut them down to the size of the cover. Such a great idea to know the whole thing can fit! Beautiful project! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️

Love your simplicity! You can also water down your chalk paint considerably, do a couple to a few coats with a stippling brush, dabbing it into the fabric, and dust it off when dry fully, and it’s soft and covers well. It also saves a ton of paint! :)

Great idea using pillow covers so they can be taken off and washed. I sew and when I see people hot glue pillows together I have a hard time watching them do it. If you don't sew people, please use pillow covers. They will last you so much longer and you don't have to worrie about your hot glue separating and ruining your pillow. I also use a regular pillow when making decorative pillows. Sometimes I cut the end and pull the stuffing out and sometimes use the whole thing, depending on what size I am making. So much cheaper! Also, Dollar General has them for $2 so a bit cheaper than Walmart.

There is a channel I cant remember jer name but she has her own line of chalk paint, Debbie's Design Diaries maybe? But, she uses chalk paint to paint fabric and furniture without it changing the texture. You have to get your fabric soaking wet and keep it that way while painting and maybe thinning paint also. She has painted a whole couch this way and it's still holding up after a couple of years.

I’d throw my in the wash. They are “rustic” anyway so the added weathering wouldn’t hurt, for me anyway. Spot keep to keep intact
