This is AWESOME!!!!! So glad I found this method!!!! I wanna make a few smaller ones in different shapes. All of the candle holders I've seen in other videos can be replaced using clay and this method. All that needs to be done is a platform built up for the candle. I love THIS so much.....Thank You for the inspiration! ! ! 😊❤❤🖒🖒

For the outside of the cave, while the clay is still wet take a ball of scrunched up tinfoil and roll it on the outside for a stone texture ( 1:46 )

I’m going to attempt making this what if I want bigger crystals should I add more alum? And can I add any kind of dye to the pot before I pour it in the clay?
@danshachar74065 жыл бұрын
yes, you will need more Alum powder, basicly you'll need to repeat the pross of heat up the powder w/ water and pour the mixture again above the previous smaller crystals, wait for few days empty the clay, make another batch of alum mixture and pour again and wait for few day and just keep going until you happy with the results. BTW!!!!!!!! every single time you make another batch make sure(before you pour the new mixture above the old crystals) that the old crystals dont have dust on them. the 2nd Q you meant that you wanna dye the crystal or the clay? if crystal* use dye powder (recomndd Tshirts dye/epoxy dye powder) to leave the crystals clear

Hi,I am trying to repair my amethyst geode 62 cm broken and top part gone. I intend to use Cement, plastesin. but in Singapore, I am unable to buy borax powder, can you form a mountain according to my measurement and then I join it together, no need to be perfect..you can sell me if possible? or do you have any better/good idea?
@danshachar74066 жыл бұрын
ANG Jeffrey amethyst is not like borax. Borax is type of salt and it’s a different mineral! Maybe you can use clear glue to join the two pieces together

Aleks Carey I boiled Alum powder with the water, but don’t eat it it’s not edible! Alum it’s type of salt so when you boiled it and it’s cold off it creating crystals

@danshachar74066 жыл бұрын
first thanks Linda :) I would add mixture of acrylic paint+water because its water based paint. after your alum has desolved and cool off a bit add the acrylic mix well and pour into your faux geod
