I was looking for a few ideas about turning a dresser into a bench when I saw your mirrored nightstands video. That was such a fun, fast and informative video that I wanted to check out and watch more of your DIY creations. Very impressive and creative ideas, plus so easy to do. The directions and details are simple and easy to follow. Great work!! thank you for sharing your talents with us. I know a few people were worried about sharp edges on the mirrors, I don't know about your Lowe's but mine offers free sanding that smoothes the edges and makes them a bit safer. You could also do it yourself with some fine grit wet sandpaper (the sponge type works great for a rounder edge), just tape off the mirror side with masking tape so you don't mar the mirror's finish. Also, I did a "lap rug" sorta like this a few years ago. It had a flannel backing but my fur kept shedding off the edges. I fixed that by adding Fray stop to the edges. They have several different variations that all do basically the same thing at my local JoAnne's (absolutely love that place!!) Very nice video! You made the flat fur look fluffy. One tip I read about: when cutting the edge, make small cuts so that you are cutting through the backing, not all the hairs on the front. The front hairs will stay long and give a nice look as they lay over the edge. However, doing that on 2 yes might take all day and all of my patience! Your rug looks terrific

Good job! I have seen a faux fur tutorial for sewing that talks about where to cut it between the fur so you can have more fur overhanging the edges. I have some faux fur I bought to make doll wigs but it was such a mess to cut that I haven't been back to it. This gives me some fun ideas for something different to do with it!
