Hah! I have never in my life thought about fire hoses «going out of date», but getting them second hand like that is genious!

I see you are practicing what you preach! No surprise there! You are modeling how you get dirty, and stay magical and peaceful! So happy you are sorting things out and making clever choices and you have supportive neighbors that lend a hand when there is a need! Best wishes to you and your family always ❤

Great hack Amber! The firehoses that the community is looking for are the ones that hang in the hallways behind glass and in stairwells in public and residential buildings. They are never exposed to anything that may shorten their life (no UV, repeated wetting cycles, etc). BUT fire/building code regulations in North America mandate that they be replaced with a new hose and couplings every 5 years. When a hose is replaced, it can not be sold as new - so it is sold as used for about 10 cents on the dollar. You have to work with what they have in stock or watch stock if you have particular needs. The typical size is 1 1/2" dia.

This video was actually super helpful! I've been learning everything from scratch with zero help so I really appreciate seeing all the details of what you're doing to help water because that is something I'm trying to make easier on myself. Something I've always connected with you on, Amber, is struggling with chronic illness while being determined to not let it hold me back so that's exactly why I've stuck with this channel for so long

Wow, that's awesome! I've never heard of wobblers, pretty cool. What a fantastic IDEA and way to reuse those fire hoses so they don't go to the dump. INCREDIBLE. Great to see you both. ❤❤ My heart goes out to you and your family with all the health stuff you have had recently. I'm sure Joseph was just beside himself. A huge toll on the whole family. Sending love to you all. Every day is a gift, sometimes we get reminded how fragile. I'm so thankful you are okay and improving daily. ❤️🫂🙏

Hey Y'all great video, Showing folks what you are doing gives people another option to consider when they are looking at their own options. I do love the This is how we do it video in the overall view. Not explaining but just showing for reference. Also I do like the step by step videos. Both have their place and folks need to know which one they are watching. The system you have is very functional, purposeful and functional. I am so glad you are able to have a system you need in an affordable way. The budget methods will always be a bit awkward and not the prettiest but when you can do it without using credit you win!! I am so excited to see Joseph with you today. I am praying the trolls will get tired of you and just move on. I do hope you can continue to film as you are able and can feel good about it. Peace and blessing for you and your family and farm, Steven

That was very clever to use the fire hoses. Luckily you have a very creative husband who knows how to figure things out. You come up with the ideas and he implements them. You make a great team!

I found you & subscribed. Is there any chance that you will put your gardening videos & your "how to" videos back up? I love those so I have to be honest that its a selfish ask, but honestly you remind me of a mix of both of my beloved, late grandparents with your vast knowledge! So glad you are making some videos again.💙

$50 for a Wobbler is way too expensive, Amber. Do an internet search for big on line wholesalers of irrigation equipment. Many are in the Pacific Northwest.
@FairlyRooted
@FairlyRooted 7 ай бұрын
I did research, that was the cheapest I could find in Eastern Canada. Canadian prices are more expensive than US prices. The same wobbler is about $20 US. The $50 got me the wobbler head, the stake and the line attachment. The actual wobbler head would be about $17 CDN.

@@FairlyRooted Try drip depot. They're online ranges from ~3 US to ~8 US for the wobbler. That's the basis for my comment. I had to share this info in code so YT let it live. I would pound a piece of rebar in the ground and use your now surplus 16 mm (1/2") line. Have another look at your nozzle size and spray arc. I think you can produce a much bigger reach with the right combo. Nozzles can be changed. Order the wobbler with NPT thread so you can use cheap big box store fittings. I hope something here is useful :)

That’s a great price, I looked them up and they don’t ship to Canada unfortunately. I found the cheapest I could find where I am haha
