What I like is that I have a high instep, making shoes hard to find. This allows a cute, customized sandal! Yay! And thanks,FlowerGirl, about keeping the plastic straps!

No need to cut the straps off, you can just push them form the underside and reuse if you wish.

Hi Tanya, I know you like flip flops. I don't wear flip flops but I had an 'out-of-my-mind' experience and purchased several at the beginning of spring. Now I have about 20 pr., but have no clever ideas on how to store them. Any suggestions. BTW, there are only 1-2 videos on KZbin that come up under that category. Would love to see your idea posted there as well!! Thanks, TJ

Get some cotton knit fabric (like they use in T-Shirts as it doesn't fray), cut in about 1/2" wide strips (or smaller) and wrap around the straps and use white/clear drying craft glue to secure the ends into position. Hope this suggestion helps.

Where do you get the fabric? I need 4 different colors for a vacation. I prefer the stretchy kind.

I bought all of my fabric at Joanne’s Fabric in Studio City at the time but the store doesn’t exist anymore:( If you have any fabric stores near you I’d say try that!

@@TanyaMemmeOfficial you really won't believe what I tried that worked. I sell clothes on Poshmark, and things that are in perfect condition, I either donate or upcycle. I pulled a Tshirt that was one of the colors I needed. Cut strips that would normally be pulled and made into T-shirt yarn, and used them in the shoe bases! It was perfect. It's best if the shirt doesn't have side seams, because that's a little bulky. I ended up cutting off the seam allowance and just layering the ends on top of one another, and stitching them together, to make one long strip, without the same bulk as the side seam.

Nope. Not with my daughter… I didn’t want to show our feet on national TV.. too many foot fettish people out there. So I’ve learned. 🤷🏻♀️
