hey Mike thanks for the shoutout. hopefully you reach 1k soon, and then you wait like a month to be approved for monetization. You have put alot of time effort into your videos so its only right to be compensated for it. right now I am trying to get into the 360 camera stuff for the tiny planet and virtual reality videos, its a big process though!

I have also done a 6"x 10" with a trencher and just put rock in it and that worked well if there isn't a lot of water. We used concrete rock that has been washed. Prevents the fines from clogging the drain. I bet it was nice to have help for this one. I can see an attachement idea for a skid steer. A side dump bucket like they use to make for larger loaders.

A question at this point: How do you design the 2 outlets of that pipe? Here it often happens that the ends get picked up by a lawn mower or a brush hog....
@DIRT-BOSS3 жыл бұрын
You can cut them out of 45.. or bury them in stone and fabric and let them leach out
@Jeff-ik3hn3 жыл бұрын
Do you put the pipe right on the fabric or do you put a thin layer of gravel down first?
@DIRT-BOSS3 жыл бұрын
Put the pipe right in the trench on the fabric then cover it in stone make sure you hold the pipe down because it will float up if you just dump the stone in too fast

why not put a layer of fabric over the top then the stone to keep out the fine stone dust....? like septic. This was a great project, i watched it start to finish!
@DIRT-BOSS3 жыл бұрын
A open stone trench is the most effective he was getting a lot of water so he decided he wanted to keep it like this for a year or so until the pool went in and then he may put fabric and topsoil over it..

Boss, Does there come a time during the winters every year that you have to shut down for say a month or two because of snow and the ground freezing? I would assume being where you are in NY, that most outdoor construction comes to a stop until the snow and frozen ground is gone? Do you transition into any other type of indoor jobs that you schedule for winter? Good video Mike!
@DIRT-BOSS5 жыл бұрын
Scotabot yes typically we shut down for 60 days.. winters are different each year tho. I try to schedule a fireplace or something indoors! Thanks

what's the point of putting a pipe? I don't understand. the gravel drain yes, makes sense.
@DIRT-BOSS5 жыл бұрын
Joe good question..the pipe drains 10x faster plus keeps the trench cleaner over the years..but yes just stone would drain also if your trench had slope. Thanks
