Great Idea with the aged look as a background and using a clear medium for the base!

This was an amazing project. The yellow bird is more like a Gold Finch than Chickadee, who are brown and black.

I put nothing except French wallpaper in my home 35-40 years ago. It was a rand new build and I had others chosen but when I saw the French wallpaper I was so enamored that I used only that throughout the house, in appropriate places. It has stood the test of time. They are still relevant, beautiful and in great shape. They were not a distressed type, rather unique in their own way. My kitchen was a trompe l'oile paper that looked like handpainted ties with beautiful yellow and purple irises with their leaves. Neighbors thought it was truly handprints and complemented them. It was fun to see people's reactions. I love them all to this day! Hope you enjoy yours and thank you for sharing. Golly, I just wish I could remember the brand! I have some left over- of everything BUT the kitchen but have them in storage and am forgetting where! I gave the last decent swatch I had to a decorator an he never gave it back-he avoided my phone calls, had his assistant take my calls, it was awful. I just wanted the swatch back and certainly not that decorator any longer! Never got it. Sigh. If that is the only trouble people ever had in their lives, wouldn't that be wonderful? Thanks. TS

That is beautiful, I love how you used stamps with the inlay ❤ Watching this has made me decide I have to buy this paint inlay. It is my favourite so far however the price here, plus scared I ruin it. One question. What made it appear brighter, more colourful at the end. I was thinking it needed a little bright orangey bird to the left but when you revealed it was there with the finish the colour. Does the colour enhance when you give the final coat whatever is used?

Hi Deborah! Lexi added birds from the whispering willow transfer, that could have made it appear brighter? Also, I'll add our paint inlay 101 video for you to get all of the best tips and tricks and give you more reassurance before diving in❤️🤗 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqWYeXt-bdBjgbcsi=j1TgTYTnY1nSf-1S

Lexi... do you have a video out somewhere, explaining the chart that you held up about using different Mediums with the paint inlays, somewhere that explains it in more detail?! It doesn't necessarily have to be a video but a social media post or a blog post?! I do follow you on the platforms that I am on but do not recall seeing this chart.

That turned out gorgeous! Took a lot of products though. Not really affordable for me. A girl can dream though.

I understand completely what you are saying, most can’t afford all of them at once either. This is an awesome use of differing IOD products working together (which is what she’s promoting). So I come up with creative ways to improvise. I invest in what I can (ie maybe the main “show stopper”, the paint inlay) and then instead of the branches stamp use real sticks from your yard or the park, stickers of birds from the dollar store and hinges I’ve found on clearance and/or at thrift store, etc., etc. I think it could totally still be recreated on a tight budget. 🌷
@lexigrenzer65232 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It’s a tooon of product, but Shannon is absolutely right. You could easily paint on branches free hand or cut them out of a magazine. The wee birds, could be a magazine, decoupage paper, napkin, so many birds options. Mostly I just want to show fun ways to use all the products. Chateau paint inlay is my show stopper & it can be used soooo many times with smaller scale projects. I hope you find the lesson helpful for future masterpieces❤️.
