This is awesome man I have a Nissan Frontier I recently put a bull bar on. I hate that I had to remove the tow hook and I can’t easily fit a winch up front. This is a really cool idea.

Thank you. I’ve had it for a while now and it works well.

Guys that off-road a lot will rake you over the coals for installing anything that is out over the bumper like that because it will act as a shovel if you get the nose of the truck into the mud. I made that mistake with a Land Rover I was going to be using off-road when I first started off-roading. HOWEVER, if you have no intention of getting into hardcore off-roading then that setup is perfectly fine. (And since it is a WARN, there is probably not much that would keep you stuck anyway) I think it looks great as the bull-bar kind of encapsulates the look of the unit. If you ask 100 guys passing by your rig their opinion on the look, I guarantee the majority will think it looks badass. So don't sweat the negative remarks, there is only a small portion of the population that can/will do this kind of work. I am building another LR right now that is going to be for highway and camping and plan on installing at the same location. It is sort of a pseudo bullbar and the winch is going to be a 12000 so I am not worried in the least about the location. I was watching your video to try and decide the type of bracket...a cradle or standard plate with lip or just some 1/4 inch plate I have laying around. Good video! Hello any chance you can share were you got the winch plate ? I need one for a project . Another cheaper option on the winch is the Harbor frieght version. Looks like the warn and has pretty good reviews.

This is the plate I got, but I only spent around $30. I don't know why it was so cheap. I bought it a while back. www.morris4x4center.com/pavement-ends-winch-plate-black-43920-01.html

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR LIGHT BAAR I HAVE A 2020 FRONTIER AND THE SHOP IN LEXINGTON SC SAID IT COULD NOT BE DONE. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT TAHNK YOU
@sclivingoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Its a 20 or 22" light bar. As you saw in the video I had to make the brackets and I also had to cut those 3 plastic skinny superficial pieces out to get the bar to fit. I'm not going to lie it was a pain, but its doable.

Winch looks sturdy:. A bit much on the front end of a midsize truck but its functional.. it is a winch tho and never put all your faith in it.. just a little bit ago a dude was out wheeling and got stuck n had to get another truck to pull him out and they hooked a jerk rope to the receiver with a d ring and the receiver snapped the welds on it and pulled the hitch part out which shot back and went through the windshield killing the driver.. fuckin brutal way to have to go.. having your head splattered by a receiver in the drivers seat..

I think the " D-Ring " is called a clevis . Very nice build looks great .
@sclivingoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I think the clevis is the hook. I think its called a shackle. I was wrong either way, lol.

Not try to disrespect all your hard work…. But this winch thing you fabricated stick out like a sort thumb and make the truck look ugly. But i guess you go with functionally over look. After all it is your truck do whatever please you. 👍🏻😄
