DIY Front Splitter (Part 1) | Acura RSX Type S (DC5)

Got to building a couple DIY front splitter's for the RSX. Me and Steve made it our of 3/4 in. birch plywood and pretty much "winged it" as we went, but they turned out pretty decent, in my opinion. Originally, we set out to just make a Honda Challenge spec splitter, but we had so much time and extra material, we went ahead and made a Time Attack style splitter, too, lol! Stay tuned for Part 2!

I think I might do Honda Challenge after doing some time attacks; isn't a roll cage required as well for Honda Challenge competitors?

Yeah it's required for when you actually start doing competitions, honestly I'd focus on driving first before you start doing it, because you'll need a comp license to "officially" drive in Honda Challenge tbh

@@JedETaleon Yeah I'm already working on that. I'm Level 3 so far so i'm certified to be Solo. Once I get to my HPDE's Yellow group (I'm Orange right now); then i'll apply for NASA comp license.

@@JedETaleon lol thanks, i'm not all that yet. I'm JUST getting into Orange. My first Orange event will be this month. I haven't even been able to push out a full undisturbed laptime so now that I'm free and around more experienced guys. I am excited to see what I can put down. I really want to represent DC5 well. Its been my goal since day 1 to prove the DC5 is a good car.
