They are both beautiful and the frosted look is really cool, but to be honest, I like the lighter blue one better. I'm partial to teal/turquoise colors. If I can find a vase that large I just might try this myself. They would make some beautiful Christmas gifts. 😊

Yes! Use an Exacto knife along the border of where the glass meets the cup. Works like a charm!

Yes I do! I use a spray varnish first as a fixative. And then pour a gloss varnish to finish

Hi Debbie! I use a custom pouring medium of 2 parts US Floetrol to 1 part PVA glue to 1 part varnish. But you should be able to use just Floetrol if you add a squirt of GAC800 and / or Liquitex PM. The key is the Satin Enamels and LOTS of water in the white base coat!

Question: What do you use to clear coat? I know from experience that the paint surface is easily scratched or damaged.

Hi Abbie! I spray it first with 2 or 3 coats of Kamar Varnish, and then you can either pour on a layer of resin or a high gloss varnish.

What about doing a bloom on the bottom about 30 min after the initial pour. The bloom cells may float down the sides.
