Sir! This is great because the plastic bucket will eventually slide right off once the cement shrinks slightly after longer curing, allowing you to reuse the bucket for more Gada of the same size. Which is what I’ve done with this bucket I have used it to make one with a 2 inch handle also!

Wow! I could see myself really messing up my shoulders with that but it does look like a great exercise. Reminds me of the Iron sheik from wrestling back in the late 70's early 80's.... with those clubs he used to carry around..... "Iran number one, America number one".....😂😂😂😂 this is what he used to say all the time. Blessings brother. Love the idea of setting your intentions in concrete.... May not be etched in stone but it's definitely set in concrete. Be well🙏🏻🇨🇦💜.

There was no idea to adjust the weight with iron nails Driving nails increases the number of contact points with the concrete, increasing its strength. If you don't get used to making it many times, the weight and nails will come out. The biggest problem is that since it is concrete, if it is made heavy, the volume will be larger than if it were only a steel frame. What kind of maintenance do you do?

Great video! Thanks for posting. What is the length of your dowel?
@Goondalini
@Goondalini 2 жыл бұрын
This is a little over 4 feet long! I have made longer ones that I enjoy a lot as well. The longer stroke makes lighter weight heavier due to the increased distance from your center. I suggest making using different lengths and widths of dowel because it can make such a difference with a small change! Let me know what you end up doing!

Just made one yesterday. Was very heavy, so made another with 5 quart bucket. One question; you ever worried about the handle snapping?
@Goondalini
@Goondalini 2 жыл бұрын
What material is it made from? Mine is a pine handle with ~40 LBS on it, no issues and it’s kept outside in the weather. I have never had a handle break, except for bamboo I had crack once. If breakage makes you nervous you can always get a steel bar!
@sinthetikbeast
@sinthetikbeast 2 жыл бұрын
@@Goondalini thanks! Only question is how would you reinforce in the concrete with a steel bar? Any suggestions?
@8Ivion8
@8Ivion8 Жыл бұрын
@@sinthetikbeast I would use headless deck bolt threads and deck nuts. The reason why is because they are made out of a metal that is used for structural reinforcement. An alternative would be Welding/JB Welding the Steel Bar/Rebar and Deck Screws together. In both cases pre-drilled holes are necessary. If the rebar handle is too thin I would wrap it with rope/sports tape/gauze/fabric+mixed water & glue or waterproof varnish. Another option is that thin rebar can be set into a drilled dowel and locked in place by JB Weld pins or ball peen pins. Truck Bed Liner, Fiberglass+Rubber Spray, and Carbon Fiber all seem like great structural reinforcement and weatherproofing options so that you don't lose your handle to rot. I think Blacksmithing or Welding your own custom filling container would be a neat idea. (Bonus Ideas) Maybe a whole bunch of containers can be combined with shrinkwrap or rivets/deck bolt threads & deck nuts and then covered in one of those waterproofing options. Paper mache might be an covering option too. (Highly Experimental Ideas) 1)Use wire as a flexible pin and seal with a Weld or JB Weld. Use multiple random objects and pin them together to make a larger pouring container(in this case rot treat the container first.). 2)Use 1-3 of those hose clips mentioned in 'The Art of Hojo Undo' by Michael Clarke to tie two or more weighted pieces to the pole. Use pvc pipe cut in half(at least), cardboard and hot glue to make the molds.

Did the nails sink? Not to the end of the video yet, but I figure the nails will sink as you qgitate.
@Goondalini
@Goondalini 2 жыл бұрын
Possibly, but none are able to protrude out, a heavier weight at the end would be ideal. I like to keep the weight out of the handle so the force on the end is maximized when it gets tossed.
