I found mace training about 5 years ago, changed my life. The BEST resource for mace training is Mark Wildman, he has over 100 videos getting into the minutiae of the movements and ques as well as sequences of movements. I am a middle aged, self employed carpenter. My life is very physical. I’ve been weight lifting, functional training and awkward object training since I was 13. Out of all those modalities this has improved my posture, increased my range of motion and especially increased my capacity to do manual labor without injury or “tweaking” something making me lose work or screwing up my project schedule. I only use sledgehammers, they are cheap and they are everywhere. I have 6,8,10,12,16 and 20lb hammers and I use ankle weights to bridge the weight gaps. Super cheap, super fun. 20min in the morning before I load up my truck and go to work.

Lol, @ 3.45 when they tried to do it slowly. Kudos for that. Takes a brave man to show himself failing and makes a significant show of how useful the Garda/mace is.

This is expensive! It will also be a one-time buy so in the long-run, it will be super cheap. I can't wait to save up and get it. The host trying it and not doing it well solidified my want to buy and share this product. I'm going to tell others about this. This is great! Thank you for showing this.

I just ordered mine a few days ago but I notice the main complaint reviewers have is the nut coming lose. You guys should ship these with and large rubber o ring or something of the sort attached to the nut to keep it from coming lose as it did in this video

Been trying this with a sledgehammer. Had no idea it would work out as will, till I seen this video. What are the downsides of using the sledgehammer?

I feel his hands are abit high as he swings it. Do we think that just due to how big his shoulders are or lack of flexibility?
@Remkay72 жыл бұрын
Agreed! He is probably doing it to fire his tricep but should have his hands much lower behind his head, thumb should be able to touch the collar

They're good - not a gimmick. We use 'em all the time in warm-ups...

Not a gimmick... like Duffin said, this has been used for years. It fixed some rib cage pain I had for years. I’ve owned one for a really long time.
@CMAenergy4 жыл бұрын
@@SilouanWright I'm 77 and so far I have no need of one, Just get used to swinging on a high bar or a trampoline and you won't need this type of weighted steel bar. Ok so it's not a gimmick Go a head enjoy it but when you can be enjoying the benefits ,of other exercising methods.

That's something really helpful especially for a bodybuilder we lose some shoulder mobility it's common to do mobility excercises later and this is by far the best equipment but even you guys can use it as skinny ppl can also benefit from this
