Bonus tips: 1. If you have a video projector, use it to show the desired part of the sky while putting in the decorations. 2. For the shelves, it might have been easier to remove the shelves, put wallpaper behind and put the shelves back in. A cleanliness trick is to wrap each shelf in disposable (cheap) wallpaper that gets recycled every 3 to 10 years. Used to be popular in kitchen cabinets with food.

Jaimie Banks they retain their value, and as long as they’re cared for they will last a lifetime and beyond. I’ve been buying and reselling Hermès foulards since I was in my late teens and you’d be amazed at how many people will pay above retail when the original is still available direct from Hermès!! I’ve heard people say they didn’t want to buy direct because of it showing up on credit cards (husbands keeping tabs etc) and some folks feel as though they don’t “belong” in the store. If you want to understand how the cost is justified look at how they’re made. Not all things are worth what they cost BUT things that are truly made with craftsmanship and particular skill in addition to retaining and even gaining value ARE worth it. 🙏🏻

Y'know the funny thing is, the pre-Michelangelo ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was very reminiscent of what you you were going for with the blue and gold stars look; you can see something similar at the Sainte Chapelle in France, which is where they may have gotten the inspiration for Wiseacre's ceiling at Wizarding World. A tip for premasked items(the constellations), apply the whole sheet(the mask and the graphic attached to it) and use the scrapper to push out all of the air bubbles and then slowly peel off the masking. It’s way easier that way. We make tons of stuff that needs to be applied at my job.

From a former painter (me): Those little spots are called holidays. They're the worst. If you do dark like that again, start with a coat of gray as a prime coat. Reduces the holidays and you can use less coats of finish paint. The room looks amazing!

So I know this video is old, but hi, professional set painter here! Painting walls with a roller can be annoying and tedious, but there are two bits that make it a slight bit faster: A roller poll and a fluffy roller cover. The bigger bristles in the cover, the easier it glides across walls and holds paint. The poll helps take care of height issues, so it's just handy to have.

Just a note for if you guys ever do another dark room paint again... use a primer colour under your dark colour, it'll help you get better coverage. so for dark blue, you'd want to use a medium blue first. Came out looking great though! I love this room so much. Especially that amazing malachite wallpaper you found!
