I’m an artist myself and love this one thing for sure if you’re worried about hurting yourself with heating up stuff you can always get those hand held hot rods that melt metal and stuff that is used for carving/melting foam so you can really get the details very precise! I’m definitely going to try to see if that works maybe even a wood burner could be useful idk
