You did a great job of making it look cohesive! As a simple thing as it is, painting the picture frame black, made a world of difference. And, yes agree with you about blank walls. As one example, there is 3" wide wall between the bedroom and bathroom door, in my apartment. What made it a bigger challenge was it was right beside a corner. Yet, every time I looked that way, it mocked me with a defiant look. So, I found a way to decorate it, in a way that goes with the rest of my living room.

I so feel you. 😂 I honestly did it because it’s the ONLY place in the house that has anything representing him. I’m so lucky we both share the same maximalist taste, and he’s so tolerant of my never-ending creative messes. But the boy lives in a house with a pink couch, so he deserved two record racks. 😂 Oh, he also did once mention a love of velvet clown paintings. Pray for me. 😬

I started a gallery wall in my living room to try to hide/distract from thngs like the A/C filter and thermostat . . . it now covers an entire wall. Seriously top to bottom. I think my art is multiplying its self at night, when we're sleeping. The struggle is real.

I'm from Lakeland, just outside of Tampa. I used to live in in Hyde Park when it was affordable,. I moved back to Lakeland, which isn't much better in price these days. I do love Tampa though ❤️

That was weird. I would have grouped according to colour, had consistant sizes between, lined up the groupings with the furniture and either lined up pictures according to their base or their centre. [Design and display was my profession.] Your layout is not unpleasing tho, and the unplanned, planned look had something going for it.
