You guys should build a fighter jet with missiles on it. I know you did a plane with missiles that you can control, but the missile was basically just an fpv wing. You should build a proper one propelled by little rocket motors, that looks like a missile.

Dude I love your work.I was taught by my father who was an aircraft engineer to design and build my own planes.I'll never forget his face when he saw my Multiplex Fox toy glider conversation flying at 100mph like a pylon racer.he told me it wouldn't fly but it flew beautiful until one day it landed and the foam finally gave way from the high speed stresses.rest in peace dad.one day I will build again but it's still a bit raw.I still fly my little park flyers and micro indoor planes.I just got a WL toys Cessna for $50.it's worth every cent.

When you see it on the ground they are still up. Aircraft would probably fly better with them correctly set as they are having to compensate for the lack of camber with angle of attack.

Missed opportunity to load it up with a dozen GIJoe paratroopers! IDK how, maybe connect something to the movement of the door that simultaneously pulls them out. Only problem would be deploying of the chutes, youd have to figure a workaround. But that big slow flying plane would be perfect for this and would be a hit with spectators.

@WheelDweller9 жыл бұрын
Personally? I'd rebuild the winglets. Make'em an extra foot longer (you have plenty of aluminum support) and reshape the ailerons to 1/4 what they are, now. And put two of your batteries in the ENGINE NACELLES so that the wires that carry the power are as short as possible. Route the servo-data across that length, not your high-amp power. (This is probably where the power is going) Otherwise...I wished *I* had made one, guys! Good job!
@RaceVanderdecken9 жыл бұрын
Cool.
@andrewjackson74769 жыл бұрын
+Brian Fahrlander I think he made some changes to aileron already, but I think the poor lift/drag is at the wing tips. cc comment --- I think you should add a wing fence/wing-let on the main wings, similar to what you have on the horizontal stabilizer, but not as tall. If you make sure the wing fences extend well behind the trailing edge of the aileron surface, I think the huge vortex can be use to LIFT the plane, rather than generate NEGATIVE LIFT. I think as you have it, there's a huge swirl of air, that wraps over the wing tips and land on top of the wing surface, that's causing negative lift and a lot of drag.

I think the ailerons were deflecting upward because of their large size. Since they make up such a large portion of the wing area, a significant amount of lift would be generated by the ailerons. The higher pressure on the bottom of the wing would push upward on the bottom of the ailerons, causing it to deflect upward.
